May I help you ?

Hi all,

I've got an AGFA SnapScan 1236S and an EPSON FilmScan 200 (can scan 4
diapositives (?) at a time).

find-scanner returns:

find-scanner: found processor "EPSON FilmScan 200 1.01" at device
/dev/sg2
find-scanner: found scanner "AGFA SNAPSCAN 1236 1.30" at device /dev/sg3
find-scanner: found processor "EPSON FilmScan 200 1.01" at device
/dev/sgc
find-scanner: found scanner "AGFA SNAPSCAN 1236 1.30" at device /dev/sgd

None of these seem to be recognized by sane-1.00 which segfaults for the
filmscan and says incorrect argument for the 1236S.

I want to know where I should begin to add support for these scanners
into Sane ? I've read in the archive of this list that support for 1236
seems to exist but nothing is said about the 1236S.

I can program in C, but I don't know anything about graphic algorithms.

May I try to help you or drivers already exist for these 2 scanners.

Thanks for all.

Jerome ALET
