Well, unfortunately the MFS-12000SP and SE-12000SP made by Mustek
have nothing in common except for this 12000SP.
The former identifies itself as MFS-12000SP, the latter as
something like C06... upon inquiry. After the usual export
SANE_DEBUG_MUSTEK=128, of course. I can't help concerning
the MFS as I've got the SE and wrote only the driver for that
scanner.
And it might be interesting to know the type of SCSI card.
The ones shipped with Mustek's scanners are notoriously
troublesome. Einfach graesslich.
