I am working on a backend for the Sharp scanners JX-250 and JX-330.
Version 0.1 is available at
http://www.satzbau-gmbh.de/staff/abel/sane-sharp.html
This version should do basic scan jobs with a JX-250. Since I have
only a JX-250 at hand, I am not sure if the programm will really
work with a JX-330. The source code contains also some fragments
to support a document feeder and Sharp's film scan unit - but using
these accessories with probably fail since I don't have and so
cannot test them.
