could you please elaborate on current OCR open source
projects?
there's xocr on sunsite, but it only reads .bmp files, and even then
is very picky about what kind of bmp file it is.
there's also a guy working on an ocr engine, with a kde frontend, at
www.socr.org. I don't know what stage of development it's at. (i'm
downloading it now)
