+How about one sentence at the start of the "Supported Scanners" Page for a
+start, like:
+
+"Currently, no parallel port scanners are supported !"
+
Hmmm, I'd really love to write down a FAQ (or at least the base for a
FAQ), but since I don't have enoughinformations I can't.
Guidelines for a SANE FAQ should be the following:
- What's the SANE project
- When did it start
- Have there been preceding attempts to write scanning software under
Unix?
- History of versions
- Technical basis
- Why does it work only on SCSI scanners? (aka the parallel trouble)
- Web site, related projects and more!!!
And so on, now I don't have any other ideas.
Since I can't try (for now) to add my GT 300 Epson parallel scanner to
the list of supported scanners (another section of the FAQ, wow! This
thiing is groowy!), I'd like to do this job, but I will need help.
So, if some of you can collect informations (everything you'd find useful)
send it to my email address, I'll try to make it readable.
For what concerns the maintaining of the FAQ, I'm afraid I won't be
really fast in updating it: you know, I'm studying to become an Electronic
Engineer and this is not a simple task, but I think 1/2 updates a month
sohould be satisfying.
Is it all OK for you? Answer me!
