Bugfixes:
Patches by Michael Sweet added (core dumps by memory misalignment,
support for SANE matching devices)
New:
Simulation of brightness/contrast/custom gamma table for PhotoScanners
with firmware date > R029 (solves problems of dark scans)
New manual page sane-hp
New hp.desc
Support for HP ScanJet Plus (see manual page sane-hp)
Hints for parallel port developers (see man-page)
Bad News:
No parallel scanner support beside HP ScanJet Plus

ADF support has not changed since v0.72c and is still experimental.
But V0.73 may arrive soon with better ADF support.

Before starting compilation you must add the following line to
backend/Makefile:
libsane-hp.la: ../sanei/sanei_pio.lo
