SANE, OS/2 & Parallel Port Scanners

I have started trying to build SANE and port the PlusTek backend in OS/2
using EMX-09c but so far have had no luck.

I am stuck trying to make SANE and can't make sense of the makefiles.

I am also having problems trying to open the Parallel Port/Scanner.

My programming experience so far has been limited to using the Borland
IDE so any tips would be gratefully received.
