A patch for upgrading SnapScan backend 0.5 to 0.6 is available at
http://www.cs.ualberta.ca/~charter/snapscan.html

Version 0.6 fixes a glitch that makes version 0.5 incompatible
with SANE-1.00. Sorry for this silliness, and the subsequent
delays fixing it. Over the next few weeks I expect to make
some more changes, including fixing some problems with using the
net backend with snapscan, adding support for 10-bit gamma tables,
and support for the Vuego-610s.
