Scans of slides are coming out too dark. I found a couple of
similar reports on DejaNews, but the only recommended fix was to use
the new hp backend. As far as I can tell, the new backend was completely
incorporated into sane-1.00, so that shouldn't be my problem.
Any suggestions for things to try or possible fixes would be appreciated.
