Now I´d like to brush up this little XEROX-Script that comes with SANE.
How can I lower the sensitivity of the scanner while using scanimage ?
The results I get in Grey-Mode tend to be a little to dark. It works out
every shade there is on the paper. It even looks through the paper and
scans stuff that you couldnt see with bare eye under normal conditions.
Textmarker is read as black, too. This is obviously not very helpful.

The Windows-Copy-Tool has a threshold-switch that handles this problem.
Is there anything like that in ScanImage, too ?
ScanImage stops every 2-3 inches while scanning. XScanImage runs w/o
stops.
How can I speed up scanimage ?
I have increased the scsi-buffer in the scsi-headerfile before compiling
the kernel and sane.
