Thanks very much - I have the 4p and the "throw-away" Symbios P'n'P card,
and also run LInux 2.0.35. I have pulled the Symbios card in favor of the
Adaptech 'aha1502e' sold in the US for $50 by Office Depot (as the
Iomega 'ZIP-zoom' scsi). Just as a matter of pride, I would like to use
the Symbios card. If your package doesn't identify kernel configuration
particulars (i.e., isapnp?) that would be helpful to know.
Thanks again.

Hello,
I would like to use my scanner (HP Scanjet)
under my Linux (s.u.s.e distribution)
machine (PII Intel 400 MHZ).
I have dowloaded the sane and gtk software and libraries,
and installed sucessfully the application.
But, I have only at my disposal one parallel port (NO SCSCI ...)
and then, would like to know if SANE is able to talk with
my scanner through it ???
On the same machine, I have installed a Windows 95 partition,
and can use my scanner through the parallel port without problem.
Therefore, I was surprised to meet some problem under linux ...
Does anyone can help me ?
Thank you in advance !
E. Henon
