Mustek 600 II CD - y limit

Hello,

as per the documentation for sane I have tried to find the right y limit
for the scanner followign scanner;

scanner name = Mustek 600 II CD
scanner model = SCANNER 2.01
firmware revision = 2.01 (?)

y limit = 264

Furthermore scanning with this model only works in gray, not color. When
using trying to scan with color the scanner starts moving downward for
about 5mm, then moves back the same distance, forward again and backward
again, in an endless loop.

Last, xscanimage ver. 0.74 (anon CVS version seems to require gimp
1.1) does not seem to compile on my system, but fails with the error
message;
/usr/local/lib/libgimp.so: undefined reference to `g_debug'
/usr/local/lib/libgimp.so: undefined reference to `g_message'
/usr/local/lib/libgimp.so: undefined reference to `g_warning'
/usr/local/lib/libgimp.so: undefined reference to `g_error'
make: *** [xscanimage] Error 1

> ls -l /usr/local/lib/libgimp.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Jun 28 03:05
/usr/local/lib/libgimp.so -> libgimp.so.1.0.0

When /usr/local/lib/libgtk.so is linked to libgtk.so.1.0.4 (instead
of libgtk-1.1.so.2.0.0 there is an additional line in the error messsage;

/usr/local/lib/libgtk.so: undefined reference to `gdk_progname'
