oooh... no. I didn't know about RPM spec files (I use Debian... no excuse).
I named them "*.spec" because I didn't think anything else had that extension.
(Originally, I thought "*.info", but that conflicts with GNU Info files.)
Any reasonable, short, convenient name would do (not .c, .h, or .conf, for
sure).
".sspec" maybe? (Short for "SANE Spec", since sane-spec is the name of
elisp stuff which does the processing?)
".sinfo"? ".stuff"? :)
