I have a SCSI-II interface for LEO Scan S3.
after booting the pc with linux, if I run find-scanner I get the message
(not in exact format)
found LEO Scan S3 at /dev/scanner
found LEO Scan S3 at /dev/sga
find-scanner, gives this message everytime I run it.
Now that I detected the scanner, if I run xcanimage, nothing shows up and
a ctrl-C gives "**ERROR**:sigint caught". After this if I run
find-scanner, find-scanner is stuck and it cannot find my scanner and does
not give any message.
FYI: sane 0.73
linux 2.0.30 redhat 4.2
SCSI II - DTC3181E
Few things I can observe from this behaviour are
1. find-scanner can see my scanner immediately after booting and before
I actually use xscanimage/scanimage
2. Xscanimge is doing something to either the scanner or scsi-II
interface, resulting in obstruction to all the access paths to scanner.
Any help related to this problem is greatly appreciated
