I wrote to Eric Moore <eric@greeley.sykes.com> requesting information
on the developers program. He wrote me back w/ a standard form I
filled out. They have a little checkbox for "personal" which means
you are not with a corporation. They will even "lend" you a scanner,
and have rent-to-own options. It's cool. (But I never had a chance
to take advantage of it)

There were several forms I had to fill out in the back-and-forth, and
I did have to call that number too. It was a long, but inexpensive
paper trail.
