We should state to do that in some obvious and surely-read place.
I have received some private queries about similar problems (backends
for non-installed scanners causing the system to fail).
Due to the inherent danger of issueing RAW scsi commands, we should advise
the user to only use the driver(s) he needs and to ensure all links are
correct.
