I have recently purchased a Microtek ScanMaker 630 with SCSI-II
interface. Because I was curious, whether to get this scanner working
with Linux, I started to write a sane compliant driver, in conjunction
with which it was very helpful to look at the sources of already
existing drivers.
The result of this attempt is that this driver is now basically working
for me on a Linux 2.0.29 system.
Besides such things as resolution and scan area the following options
are currently available:
- Color, grayscale, lineart and halftone scans
- Brightness, contrast, shadow, midtone and highlight selection
- Scalar gamma correction
If desired (and if someone can tell me how to accomplish this) I can
make this driver available for the SANE project and do some further
maintenance.
