The scanner responds in a limited manner to the SCSI command set
obtained by Jan Krueger <yesno@bl.de> for the 12000 SP. However, the
language in the command set document is vague and the specific model
1200 III SP is not mentioned anywhere. I have experimented long enough
to become frustrated with guessing at the correct answer.
I have found a Win 32 ASPI command logger called snoop
(www.public.augsburg.de/~scorpion/aspi32snoop.html) that intercepts
ASPI commands in the Windows 32 subsystem, logs the command data to a
file and then calls the real ASPI manager. I had hoped to reverse
engineer the command set from the (somewhat) functional Windows
driver. Unfortunately, the 1200 III SP Windows software uses the older
(16 bit?) WINASPI.DLL rather than WNASPI32.DLL, whose commands are
NOT logged by the ASPI sniffer.
Does anyone know of a similar tool for the (16 bit?) WINASPI.DLL?
Is anyone else working on the Mustek 1200 III SP backend?
ANY help appreciated,
Tim Kelm <tkelm@earthlink.net>
