Success compiling sane-0.72, gtk-1.0 and gimp-0.99.28

Just passing along a success story. I compiled and seem to be successfully
running:
sane-0.72
gtk-1.0
gimp-0.99.28

A couple of comments:

A) When acquiring a preview, the acquire-preview-button should
be disabled. I accidentally hit is again during a running
acquisition, and everything locked
up. Killing the processes did fix the lock up.

B) Using the mouse to outline a scanning selection in the preview
window works great. But updating the numbers in the main
windows does not adjust the selection box in the acquire preview
window. I also like the cross-hairs selector that others
have mentioned on this list before.

If anyone has any questions as to how I compiled my tools, feel free
to email me. I am updating my document to reflect the new changes and
will post the web site when it becomes available.
