Probably not. Minolta (and most of the other Japanese corporations)
are *extremely* tight-lipped about their products and specs. My
company does quite a bit of printer (and scanner) development, and
getting vendors to give you documentation is generally quite
difficult, even when you say you're going to potentially bring them
millions of new customers...

FWIW, if someone wants to send me their contact info at Minolta (and
other vendors) I can try to get the documentation under NDA and do
backends for those scanners...
