No. It is for SCSI and in the latest time for some "parallel" models (those
that come with their own implementation of a "parallel" card).
The CG8000 might be supported by the genric mustek handheld scanner driver
which should be available from sunsite and such from the same directory
in that you can find logiscan.
Those drivers use a kernel module (necessary, the handhelds use proprietary
IO cards and DMA/IRQ) and communicate with userspace using LHII (Linux
Handscanner Ioctl Interface).

Good. Please test, if the LHII driver works. If this is the case, I'd
really like to see someone tackling the LHII-to-SANE bridge finally.
This should be rather easy, as I actually designed SANE based on LHII.
In case the LHII driver works - would you like to tackle that ?
I will surely help you, but writing the thing myself would be rather painful,
because I do not have the Logitech handscanner I wrote the driver for anymore
...
