I've got a minor Problem with my Mustek-1200-SP scanner:
It doesn't report its correct identity, but instead it reports
(from /var/log/boot.msg)
Vendor: SCANNER Model: Rev: 1.05
<4> Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 01
CCS
find-scanner reports:
SCANNER 1.05" at device /dev/scanner (two blanks between ´SCANNER' and
'1.05')
If I have a larger string-input, it reports:
SCANNER 1.05MUSTEK MFS-12000SP
As a logical consequence using the scanner for copying will drop some
lines - this seems to be a weakness of Mustek.
By the way: I've bought the scanner from our biggest distributor
( VOBIS ) - they seem to get a special version.
How can I get full advantage of my scanner?
Thanks a lot
Wolfgang
