Hello,

I've been trying to get the SCSI card that originally came with my HP
ScanJet IIcx to work under Linux-2.0.33. Contrary to what I believed
before, it seems there are patches that enable support for this card.

Despite generous attempts by someone with an almost identical down to
the chip-level card to get this one to work, I haven't been able to
get it initialized properly.

Does anyone have such a card, running under Linux, and could help me
out with details as to the configuration, jumper settings, and so on?
And, are there people on this list who would be interested in getting
it to work but didn't know until now there was a driver for it?
Please contact me by personal mail as I don't think this is of general
interest.

For the record, the WWW page with the SCSI driver patch is at
http://www.leo.org/~loescher/tips.html (look for 53c400a). Sorry,
it's german only.

Alex
