SnapScan backend patch

I've just put a patch for SnapScan backend version 0.3 on my web page
http://www.cs.ualberta.ca/~charter/snapscan.html. It fixes a bug that
causes the backend to ignore a busy condition in the scanner, and makes
a couple of other minor changes.
