I tried to use sane 0.68 with my Mustek 600 II N parallel port
scanner, but didn't have much success.
mustek.conf:
# See sane-mustek(5) for documentation.
#0x26b---, 0x2ab---, 0x2eb---, 0x22b---, 0x32b, 0x36b, 0x3ab, 0x3eb
0x32b
option linedistance-fix
hmg1:/root # xscanimage mustek
[sanei_init_debug]: Setting debug level of mustek to 3.
[mustek] attach: opening 0x32b as scsi device
[mustek] dev_open: Invalid argument: can't open 0x32b as a SCSI device
[mustek] attach: sending INQUIRY
---> light is turned on and I can hear some "noise" from the scanner
[mustek] attach: firmware revision 1.01
[mustek] attach: found Mustek scanner model MFC-06000CZ (flatbed scanner), 1-pass
[mustek] sane_init: enabling linedistance-fix for 0x32b
[mustek] attach: opening as scsi device
[mustek] dev_open: Invalid argument: can't open as a SCSI device
[mustek] attach: Invalid argument: can't open as a parallel-port device
---> xscanimage window pops up, now I press the "Scan" button
[mustek] dev_open: Invalid argument: can't open 0x32b as a SCSI device
[mustek] line_distance: got factor=65535, (r/g/b)=(0/0/0)
[mustek] line_distance: fixed up to factor=65535, (r/g/b)=(0/0/0)
---> scanner produces some noise (about one second), after that
nothing happens, the light ist still turned on, xscanimage
doesnt't react anymore, cpu usage is near 100%, --> ctrl-c
Preview doesn't work either. Sometimes, the "line_distance: got ..."
doesn't apear in the log.
Any suggestions?
I am using Linux 2.0.33 on a Pentium PC.
Ciao, Henning
