Hi there,

I read an article about scanning w/ Linux in the latest issue of German
computer magazine iX. This one mentions, that the Umax 600S is partly
supported by Sane.

Could someone please tell me, what this is supposed to mean (what is
supported on this scanner, and what isn't)? I am thinking about buying this
one in a couple of weeks or so, so I would also appreciate comments about its
quality/reliability.
