Scsi-Cabling

Hi David!
I'm afraid incorrect SCSI-Termination is not the
reason in case of the (my) lost lines because
with the windows software everything works well.
However, I will try to terminate the bus.
Perhaps there is a different timing of the
linux scsi handling compared to windows which
causes the fault.
(The termination is a bit difficult because the
scanner is connected by the 25pin port and I
have no connector for the 50pin port handy to
build a terminator)
I think I've told you the fact already that
with forced backtracking everything works well.
Couldn't this be a hint?
For what reason is the backtrack mode implemented
at all? I can't see any sense (If the non-backtrack
mode would work). What advantages should it have?
thanks!
Klaus
I will report any success.
