sane-0.65 is now available at:

ftp://ftp.mostang.com/pub/sane/

In addition to the usual tar.gz ball and diffs, I made an RPM binary
distribution for Linux/Alpha. The RPM specs file is based on the one
for sane-0.52 (Michael, did you write this spec file?). I'd be glad
to make more binaries available. Building an RPM is quite simple on
a Red Hat system:

- log in as root
- copy sane-0.65.tar.gz to /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
- extract sane-0.65.spec from tar ball
- invoke "rpm -ba sane-0.65.spec"

and that's it!

What's changed since 0.64? SANE now supports OS/2, thanks to Jeff
Freedman <jsf@hevanet.com> and there is a first shot at an Epson
backend, thanks to Kazuhiro Sasayama <kaz@hypercore.co.jp>.

Oh, another thing: if you decide to mirror the above ftp directory,
please let me know about it so I can mention the mirror on the SANE
home page.

Enjoy,
