Mustek 600 II EP

Hi,

I just bought a Mustek 600 II EP flatbed scanner, which works through the
parallel port. I am aware of the support for several SCSI Mustek
scanners; are the plug-n-scan Mustek scanners also supported
by SANE?
If not, are there any plans for writing a back-end for it using SANE?
