Microtek: Voila!

After not hearing any response to my query last week about the status of
Microtek support, I got restless, so I wrote a backend for Microtek scanners.

As you might expect, I got the programming information by deconstructing
"mtekscan" (not for the faint-hearted), thus this backend doesn't work any
better than that. In fact, it still has a quite a few holes to be plugged
next weekend. Some controls are not yet implemented, including gamma table
support. However, all the basic scan modes are there, and previewing under
xscanimage works too. I figured I'd let it loose upon the world now for any
other Microtek owners who are dying to see what SANE/xscanimage(/The Gimp)
can do.

I have an E6, so I can't vouch for any other models yet. 3-pass color
scanning hasn't been implemented yet, definitely.

Is there someplace where I should upload the source code?

In the meantime, I made a little web page, and anyone who is interested can
grab the source from:

If anybody has a lead on real Microtek programming documentation, or even
any tweaks and patches which improved mtekscan operation for them, please
send them my way.
