i had some Problems with the scanner Mustek Paragon MFS-12000SP. In
b/w-mode it was working very fine, but in color-mode it did not work. My
scanner was originally delivered with BIOS 1.02, i also testet 1.06.
In the man-page sane-mustek you wrote, that 1.00 works in color-mode
and that there are some troubles with 1.02.
The solution for 1.06 was CFLAGS="-O" ./configure --disable-ld-fix.
I didn't test it with 1.02 because th chip lost 1 Pin. So may be
the bug, that you reported in your man-page for BIOS 1.02 is also
caused by the 1.00-bugfix. I think a hint in the man-page and may be
in a FAQ would be big a help for people like me.
But now sane is working great.
