I've actually seen it work yesterday when I took another try. It scanned the A4
page and faxed it as it is supposed to.

Could you try to set it to 127.5kB, if the scanner moves further, then?

That's not much ;-). Here it stops either at around 10cm or at the end of the
page. I calculated that around the 10cm mark the scanner should send out the
data, so I suppose it's a problem with the data reception.
