I haven't been able to figure this out... I turned on debugging for
the /dev/uk0 device (the scanner) and turned on the sane debugging, and
did a 'scan' (not preview). The debugging did report an error... Although
I am not familiar enough with scsi protocol to figure it out. The result
was the same as before, about 1/2 inch of scanned-plastic, repeated. (the
file was the right dimensions according to the scan-options... just filled
with the duplicated 1/2 inch.)
I'd like to get this working and would be willing to hack on it if
need-be (or provide a place where someone could hack on it).
Since the debug-logs are fairly large (about 40k each) I decided to
place them on my web-server rather than post them to the list... they are
available at: http://www.oneway.com/jaykuri/scsi-debug.html
Again, any help would be greatly appreciated,
Jay Kuri

--- Everyone can be taught to sculpt: Michelangelo would have had to be taught how not to. So it is with the great programmers.
