Hmmh, that's strange. I'd suggest to run something like this:
SANE_DEBUG_MUSTEK=128 SANE_DEBUG_DLL=128 SANE_DEBUG_SANEI_SCSI=128 \
scanimage -d mustek -y 100 >out.pnm 2>log
This will produce a lot of output in file "log." If it's not obvious
what's going wrong, could you mail me the log file?
