Does anyone know of a way to turn off the Mustek Paragon MFS-6000CX's lamp
when the scanner is not needed? I believe it affects the lamp's livetime
to have it on all the time and I don't quite like the idea to reboot my
system just to make the scanner (which I usually turn off to save the
lamp) known to it. I know some scanners that have their lights turned on
for scanning and turn them off after some idle time. It would be quite
sufficient for me though to have the possibility to turn it off manually.
Or can the scsi-system cope with the scanner being turned off and on
during runtime?
Regards,
Andy.
