sane-0.51 available

The latest release fixes the silly strndup() problem some of you have
run into. I don't know what happened---I built sane-0.5 on two
different Linux/x86 systems and it worked fine as long as I didn't
build without shared libs (which I didn't do until after the release
;-( ). Anyhow, 0.51 should take care of this.

0.51 also has a workaround for the qcam backend that makes the
blacklevel setting work reliably. More important, IMHO, however is
that xscan now supports displaying the device options' help strings in
the form of tooltips (aka balloon help). I really like this feature
(since it should help getting novices started), but you can of course
turn it off through the Preferences menu if you wish. The only
downside: you now really have to get the gtk toolkit in the sane
directory.

0.51, a diff relative to 0.5 and the latest gtk snapshot are all in:
