Also, Mustek Taiwan sent me the wakeup sequence for their cards. I
tried it and it didn't work for me on an Alpha. If the
wakeup-sequence is timing-sensitive, than that might be the reason it
doesn't work on the Alpha (where the I/O instructions are implemented
as memory-mapped accesses, i.e., with very different timing). I
posted code that implements the wakeup sequence a while ago on the
mustek mailing list, but if somebody wants to take another stab at it,
let me know and I'll dig it out.
